Yro Gavriatopoulou was born in Athens in 1998 and she graduated from Maro Marmarinou Higher Professional Dance School. In 2023, she began her studies in Drama Therapy at the Hellenic Center for Psychotherapy through the Arts. She has attended numerous seminars on movement and performance with many artists including Rob Hayden (Ultima Vez Company), Miguel Pereira, Mehdi Farajpour (Orian Theatre), Fiona Witherell, Gwen Sampe, Alpo Aalkotoski, Sofia Mavragani, Chisato Ohno (Batsheva Company), Panos Malactos (Peeping Tom), Artemis Lampiri and others.

In 2022, she was part of the interdisciplinary program of the Athens & Epidaurus Festival with movement coordinator Marcos Morao. In 2023, she participated in the residency of the PSA program (Paris Summer Academy). Over the past two years, she has been training in acting at the workshops of Eleni Skoti at the Epikolono Theater.

As a performer, she has participated in the European production "Kaspar Machine", the video dances "Artemis & the tree", "Mrs Satan" (Athens Video Dance 2021), and is co-creator of the works "Testa ID's in transition" (5th Festival of Contemporary Dance Compartments Dance Project, Athens Video Dance Promenade 2022, Zante Dance Festival 23), "Pickok" (Dare Dance Festival), video dance "AEQUOREA" (PAF23, Dance Days Chania, Athens Video Dance23), among others.

Today, she teaches and choreographs with the Tási Dance Collective, of which she is co-founder, while she also teaches creative dance, contemporary dance and improvisation to children, teenagers and adults. Recently, she has been researching her own practice, "Kinetic Self".

H Υρώ Γαβριατοπούλου γεννηθήκε το 1998 στην Αθήνα και σπούδασε χορό στην «Ανώτερη Επαγγελματική Σχολή Χορού Μάρω Μαρμαρινού», από όπου αποφοίτησε το 2021. To 2023 ξεκινάει τις σπουδές της πάνω στην Δραματοθεραπεία στο ΚΨΤ (Ελληνικό Κέντρο Επιμόρφωσης Ψυχοθεραπεία Μέσω Τεχνών). Έχει παρακολουθήσει πολλά σεμινάρια release τεχνικών, contact improvisation, ακροβατικών, χορογραφίας και σύνθεσης, χοροθεάτρου, φωνής, θεάτρου και αυτοσχεδιασμού με πολλούς καλλιτέχνες μεταξύ άλλων Rob Hayden (Ultima Vez Company), Miguel Pereira, Mehdi Farajpour (Orian Theatre), Fiona Witherell, Gwen Sampe, Alpo Aalkotoski, Σοφία Μαυραγάνη, Chisato Ohno (Batsheva Company), Πάνο Μαλακτό (Peeping Tom), Άρτεμις Λαμπίρη, Βαρβάρα Μπαρδακά κ.α.. Το 2022 ήταν μέλος του διακαλλιτεχνικού προγράμματος του Φεστιβαλ Αθηνών & Επιδαύρου με συντονιστή κίνησης τον Marcos Morao. Το 2023 συμμετείχε στο residency του προγράμματος PSA (Paris Summer Academy). Τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια εκπαιδεύεται στην υποκριτική στα εργαστήρια της Ελένη Σκότη, στο θέατρο Επί Κολωνώ. Ως περφόρμερ έχει συμμετάσχει στην ευρωπαική παραγώγη «Kaspar Machine», στο ελληνοκαναδέζικης παραγωγής ντοκιμαντέρ «Melancholia», στα video dance «Artemis & the tree», «Mrs Satan» (που προβλήθηκαν στο Athens Video Dance 2021), είναι συνδημιουργός των έργων «Testa ID΄s in transition»(5ο Φεστιβάλ σύγχρονου χορού Compartments Dance Project, Athens Video Dance Promenade 2022, Zante Dance Festival 23), «Pickok» (Dare Dance Festival), video dance «AEQUOREA» (που έχει συμμετασχεί στο PAF & Dance Days Chania, Athens Video Dance23) κ.α. Σήμερα διδάσκει και χορογραφεί με την κολλεκτίβα Tasi, της οποίας είναι συνιδρύτρια και διδάσκει δημιουργικό χορό σε παιδιά και σύγχρονο και αυτοσχεδιασμό σε εφήβους και ενηλίκες, ενώ το τελευταίο διάστημα ερευνά την πρακτική της «Kinetic Self».
